18. I Wrestled a Bear Once - You know that ain't them dogs real voices
The standout song from Into the Valley's adopted Screamo favourites.
17. Princess Chelsea - The Cigarette Duet
Perhaps too low in the chart, but maybe I've heard it too many times this year.
16. Noel Gallagher - AKA Broken Arrow
Not all wilfully obscure stuff. A coherent piece of folk rock from former Oasis leader.
15. Lucia - Silence
Beautiful, haunting and delicate music from the elfin Romanian.
14. Betty and the Werewolves - David Cassidy
Top twee indie action from the brilliantly named combo.
13. Mesh - You didn't want me
Former favs come up trumps again with atmospheric synth-pop stormer.
12. Erasure - A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot
Vince proves he can still cut it in the 21st Century with a camptastic dancefloor filling anthem.
11. Foxes - Youth
Poses more question than it answers, but a philosophical gem nonetheless.
This is way easier than the last ten. They fall into three easily distinguishable camps:

Listenable (ish) - Mesh, Foxes, Feist
Flick - I Wrestled A Bear Once (the album title says it all, the female vocalist spoils it for everyone), Princess Chelsea (I would probably like this song if I could actually listen to it. Just as I can't stand songs with the word 'monkey' in the title, neither can I bear the word 'cigarette'. Can't even bring myself to listen to it), Gallagher (still peddling his ching-ching- ching-a-ching-ching rubbish), Betty and the Werewolves (again would possibly okay if not for the inclusion of the name 'David Cassidy' in the lyrics).
